After Dhawan, Indian Team’s Bowler Announces Retirement with an Emotional Post – Barinder Sran Announces Retirement

Delhi: After Indian team’s left-handed batsman Shikhar Dhawan, another cricketer has announced his retirement. Indian fast bowler Barinder Saran has declared his retirement from cricket. Barinder made his debut for India in 2016. Throughout his career, he played six ODIs and two T20s for India in that same year. He has announced his retirement from all formats of cricket. Saran, representing India, took a total of 13 wickets.

In a post on his Instagram account, Saran wrote, “As I officially retire from cricket, I look back on my journey with a heart full of gratitude. Since switching from boxing in 2009, cricket has given me countless and incredible experiences. Fast bowling soon became my lucky charm and opened doors for me to represent prestigious IPL franchises, and ultimately, in 2016, I had the highest honor of representing India.

He further wrote, “Although my international career was short, the memories made will always be cherished. I will always be grateful to God for providing me with the right coaches and management who supported me throughout my journey. As I begin this new chapter, I am very thankful for the opportunities cricket has given me. In the end, as the saying goes, ‘Like the sky, there is no limit to dreams. So keep dreaming.’

Saran has represented Punjab Kings, Rajasthan Royals, Mumbai Indians, and Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League, taking 18 wickets in 24 matches at an economy rate of 9.40. He was initially a boxer at the Bhiwani Boxing Club, which trained bronze medalist Vijender Singh for the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
